When it comes to BasicGrey I admit, I'm a total fangirl! I was devastated when they announced they were no longer going to be producing paper in 2016 to focus on fabric instead, and I started hoarding every scrap of paper, embellishment, rub-on and sticker I could find in the brick & mortar shops and online. I even purchased digital kits from SnapClickSupply.com and invested in an expensive Epson inkjet just to keep my obsession alive.

The following layouts were completed with a repurposed calendar kit I found in my favorite little scrapbooking store, Paper Kapers in Orillia, Ontario. I also used some complimentary paper by My Mind's Eye "Adorbs" and "Unforgettable" stacks

Online shopping is not only convenient, it offers access to products you might not easily find in smaller remote communities like the one I live in, that have few specialized stores. In fact, within a 100km radius, there are 2 Michaels stores and 2 small scrapbook stores. While I believe in supporting local first, there are times when I've needed a particular brand or theme of paper, or required supplies that just weren't available locally. Take for example these layouts. My family and I are avid campers and I searched high and low for outdoor-themed paper in order to document some of our expeditions. Browsing eBay one day, I came across mymomyscraps store and found what I needed in the My Mind's Eye "HAPPY CAMPER" 12x12 Paper & Embellishments kit. I still have a few pages left to complete, and I haven't yet decided what photos to add to these layouts because there are so many to chose from!

I had been hanging on to a 6x6 pad from DoodlebugDesign for just the right photos. This year, I had a very happy Valentine's Day with my family, and got to spend my time in my craft room doing what I love! I managed to get 7 layouts from this pad and used various mixed media (watercolor, gltter sprays, inks, stamps, etc.) and I challenged myself to make my own tags and clusters with some of the scraps and some embellishments I had on hand.
