I was pretty excited to dig in to this month's way cute #sctsampler by Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine. I managed to get 2 layouts and several cards done, and I still have a bit of paper and elements left that I can probably put together one more layout!

The first layout was a fun and simple design. Don't you love it when you have exactly the right photos to use on your layout?! And just happened to have some coordinating Echo Park card stock that matches really nicely to the Photo Play Paper Tulla & Norbert collection. I also had some little veneer mushrooms and hedgehog to add 🥰🦔🍄 Cute or what?!

The second layout made good use of Pebbles Inc. Hey, Hello pattern papers & Birthday Sentiments, and some scrap Echo Park paper and Me and My Big Idea Happy Planner® stickers that I had on hand. I have a few more years of birthday layouts to do considering this kiddo is almost a teenager now! 🎁🎂🎈

The remaining are some simple greeting cards I threw together with the great stamps and ephemera by Close to My Heart and although it's been a while since I've made a card, I think I'll make a few more to have on hand for those special occasions, including sympathy cards. When someone experiences a loss, it's sometimes a struggle to find the right words of condolences. I found this little poem online by Janyce Cotterill that is just so lovely and conveys such a nice sentiment.

These little cuties brighten our days and melt our hearts! I am so behind on my scrapbooking, there really aren't enough hours in the day, but I'm always excited to get my sctsampler by Scrapbook & Cards Today in the mail every month because it allows me to put other projects on hold for a little while and really play and have fun trying out new products. This month was, as usual, a real treat to get such a beautiful set of papers and embelishments from SimpleStories and My Mind's Eye. I also added some stickers and ephemera I had on hand by Heidi Swapp, Fancy Pants, My Mind's Eye. I also used my Cricut markers and simulated watercolor paint to soften the outlined roses and leaves, as I didn't have the soft pallet in my paints, but the marker colors (Candy Corn, Cactus Pink and Sage) matched quite nicely.

This month's sampler included papers and stickers from Doodlebug Design and Pink Paislee as well as an embossing folder from Close to My Heart. I used watercolor paint, stamps and did some sewing on these two layouts. I still have a lot left in the sampler, but have been side-tracked with another project.

I really loved this month's sampler! It included paper, stamp set and embellishments by Crate Paper, tags by Elle's Studio, paper by Close To My Heart and stamp pockets by Totally Tiffany. I used a thick wax medium that has a nice sheen to it, almost like the inside of an iridescent shell. I also used some snowflake cutfiles from Scrapbook & Cards Today.

PS. You may have noticed that there is no entry for the December sampler. Truth is, I was preoccupied with my December Daily, but I did put together a mini album and included some of the paper from December's sampler kit, which included paper by Bella Blvd and Doodlebug Design, as well as some embellishments by Close To My Heart and stamps by Hero Arts.
